Ja, this is what we have here ,In Stilfontein NorthWest a Chrysler 383, so around 1971, with some damage to the suspension on the right side, we drive like this but it really need a good repair, the engine is stil fine, re-done about 1992 is running good and thirsty like always.The tyres used befor was 215R15, we changed this to 255/60-15 front and 275/60-15 rear.The paintjob was done also 1992 and show's crack's all over now, the interior was done and looks fine.
The whole rear lights was replaced with LED because all sockets are corroded.
Let well, we added some 4000watt of music (this is the reason the paint is coming off).To bring the car closer to the tar we lower'd the front about 4", and because of this new 'speedbumps' we fitted some Hydraulics to lift the body again about 5" if we need to and lower by push of a button(fourwayvalve hydraulic 220Volt with inverter), so we have 4 shocks in front.
The rear is lifted with one extra spring each side for heavy towing.
Heavy duty 4x4 shocks with coilsprings.
Sidepipes are fitted left and right with crossover and really silent even at 150km/h.I would like to know how many of this incredible 383 are left in RSA?
Maybe someone has some parts left in the garage? I got myself a fourbarrel 4160 Holley now i need a intake manifold, for this chrysler bigblock, anyone can help?
