urgent advice needed for upper ball joint
I've been told I need to replace my upper ball joint seals for my next MOT (British roadworthiness test) which is very soon.
Six years ago I tried to remove the steering knuckle from the UCA on a Barracuda in a breaker's yard and it took a whole day of different ideas. What do you guys do? Do you use the recommended Chrysler tool C3711? If so, where do you get it? Or is there an equivalent which you can buy? Or do you just use a pickle fork, massive hammers and hit until something happens? (Six years ago I ended up having to use a gas torch but I don't have access to one now)
So your advice is urgently needed, especially if I have to go out and buy something.
Whilst on the subject, to remove the lower balljoint do you guys use the recommended Chrysler C3964 tool (where do you get one?) or is there a good equivalent? I broke a lever arm type on a lower balljoint once!
Many thanks.
